Dr Lisa Bradley
The Challenge of Business - University Collaboration: Context, Content and Process
Lisa is a lecturer in finance at the School of Business of the University of Ulster. She has a PhD in Finance from Queen's University of Belfast. Her dissertation "The Public Financing of Growth in SMEs," identified a possible synergy effect generated by government grant assistance and developed a financial growth model to evaluate the return from government investment in local industry.
The empirical orientation was focused on government funding of small firms in Northern Ireland, identified by LEDU (Local Economic Development Unit) as growth companies and in receipt of grant assistance between 1994 and 1997. Since 2002 she has been a Lecturer in Finance at the School of Business, Retail and Financial Services, University of Ulster. At present, she is working with Dr Charles Hickson on the optimal investment horizon for public assistance.
