Dr Mark Freel
Mark Freel is a full-professor/professeur titulaire at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. Prof. Freel’s research is broadly concerned with issues of entrepreneurship and economic development and is widely published in key academic journals, such as Research Policy, Regional Studies, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, Technovation and Small Business Economics. His work is well cited and he has been awarded research grants from funding councils and government bodies on both sides of the Atlantic. Prof. Freel is an associate editor of the Journal of Small Business Management, reviews editor for the International Small business Journal and sits on the editorial board of Entrepreneurship and Regional Development. He is also co-author of a key undergraduate text for entrepreneurship educators titled Entrepreneurship and Small Firms (McGraw-Hill). This book is now in its 5th Edition and enjoys considerable UK market loyalty (with further adoptions throughout Europe and Australia – including Greek and Macedonian translations).
