Professor Andy Neely

Deputy Director

Professor Andy Neely is an EPSRC representative to AIM, where he is Deputy Director. He also holds posts at the Institute for Manufacturing and the Judge Business School, both at the University of Cambridge and Cranfield School of Management. Previously he has held appointments at London Business School, Cambridge University, where he was a Fellow of Churchill College, Nottingham University, where he completed his PhD and British Aerospace. He was elected a Fellow of the Sunningdale Institute in 2005, a Fellow of the British Academy of Management in 2007 and an academician of the Academy of Social Sciences in 2008.

Andy is widely recognised as one of the world's leading authorities on organisational performance measurement and management, a field he first started working on in the the late 1980s. He has authored over 100 books and articles, including "Measuring Business Performance", published by the Economist and "The Performance Prism", published by the Financial Times. He has won numerous awards for his research and chairs the Performance Measurement Association, an international network of over 1000 academics and practitioners interested in the performance measurement and management. Currently his research focuses on three topics - the state of the art in Corporate Performance Measurement, the servitization of manufacturing and questions of business-university collaboration.
