Vicki Crossley

Head of Evaluation and Impact, ESRC

Vicki has worked for the Economic and Social Research Council since 2005, initially in the Research Directorate, where she held responsibility for the Council’s work on Energy and the Environment, particularly the development of the ESRC contribution to the cross-Council programmes on ‘Energy’ and ‘Living with Environmental Change’.  Since moving to the Communications and Information Directorate in 2008, Vicki has worked with the Evaluation and Impact Team, which has responsibility for overseeing more than 100 of the Council’s major research investments, working closely with them to assist in maximising their academic and non-academic impact.  The team also manages a wide-ranging evaluation portfolio, reviewing all completed ESRC research, undertaking international benchmarking reviews of social science disciplines, and developing methodologies and approaches for assessing the impact of research and other activities funded by ESRC.  Vicki has a background in political science, specifically European studies.
