SERVICE MODULARITY
First International Service Modularity Seminar, January 21-22, 2010, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark
The emerging research field of service modularity is growing and senior researchers as well as doctoral students are engaging in the topic from various disciplines. However, research initiatives are rather dispersed and interested researchers seem to be largely unknown to each other. We therefore aim to establish a research community and discussion forum for researchers and PhD students to further develop the field of service modularity.

08 April 2010 - 09 April 2010

The conference will include a mix of formal presentations by academic leaders, practical workshops and informal presentation sessions, as well as plenty of time for socialising and networking. You will have a chance to explore and reflect on issues which are not always easy to discuss at your own workplace.  This is to support reseachers in their personal development within the context of today's higher education workplace, where pressures of insecure employment and limited induction should be balanced with the excitement of pursuing a research career and achieving high quality publications.

21 - 26 September 2010

The service sector now accounts for 75 percent of the labour force in the US and the UK and more than 50 percent in Brazil, Russia, Japan and Germany. The dramatic growth of the service sector is changing the nature of organisations. However, it is becoming apparent that there is a lack of research and knowledge in the area of service to help address the challenges these changes are bringing about.
