Working in the Creative Industries
23 February 2011
Durham Business School, Durham University
The creative industries have been hailed as the driver of the knowledge economy, as qualitatively different to other forms of work and as the means of individual fulfilment. They have also been condemned as routinised, low paid and class-driven.
This two-day workshop aimed to explore the realities of working in the creative industries. Papers on any aspect of creative work were warmly encouraged and those from PhD students were particularly welcome.
