Professor Allan Williams 

Man Icon Allan Williams is Professor of European Integration and Globalization at London Metropolitan University, where he holds a research chair in the Working Lives Research Institute. His work focuses on European economic issues, international migration and knowledge transfer, and the services sector, especially hospitality and retailing.

He obtained his first degree in Economics and Geography at University College Swansea, and his PhD at the LSE. He has previously held posts at Durham and Exeter universities before moving to London Metropolitan in 2006. He is Co-editor of European Urban and Regional Studies (Sage), an Adjunct Professor at the University of Canterbury (NZ), and an Academician of Social Science.
