Research Councils UK have today released a report asserting the vital role that research plays in the future of the UK and the importance of maintaining government investment. It includes work by AIM Ghoshal Fellow Dr Ammon Salter whose new AIM Research report 'The Republic of Engagement: Exploring UKÂ Academic Attitudes to Collaborating with Industry and Entrepreneurship' forms a strong basis for the argument in favour of UK investment in academic research. The report, put together by Romesh Vaitilingam - who has previously put together the AIM report 'Closing the UK's Productivity Gap' - also features research from AIM Senior Fellow Professor Jonathan Haskel, and is a hugely important voice in the call for the government to maintain support of the UK's worldwide-respected research base.
